Meet The Spirited Nerd

Believer.  Easily entertained.  Useless facts guru.  Open.  Truthful.  Logophile.  Woman.  Foodie. Random jingle singer/composer…I’m exactly what the title of this blog says that I am—a spirited nerd.

Ashley Griffin, a writer/blogger for roughly 15 years, is answering God’s calling on her life as a teacher of the Word through her online ministry, TheSpiritedNerd. Born in Texas and raised in Michigan, Ms. Griffin brings a unique approach to the online para-church ministry movement.

Ms. Griffin shares, “Before I committed to what God called me to do, I had a big following on two other blogs. That writing style, and the personality shared there, wasn’t the best reflection of who I want to be when I ‘grow up.'”  Turns out, through the grace of the Holy Spirit, she has found the right synergy. “I definitely still have my colorful way of seeing life, but the desire to make a positive impact on the world around me has become all-consuming. I’m committed to the responsibility, and honor, of teaching the Bible.”

To strengthen her skills for eventual full-time ministry, Ms. Griffin is a current Biblical Leadership student through Southwestern Christian University‘s distance education program, with less than a year of study left. Also, her education is supplemented with lessons from both and AMES International School of Ministry. She anticipates successful enrollment in graduate studies in 2015.

An accidental nomad, she attended Calvary Chapel South Bay while in California and Hope United Methodist Church in Michigan. Now, a resident of Texas, she attends Lakewood Church. Ms. Griffin says, “Thanks for supporting my biblical enthusiasm and random nerdisms!”

    Hi Ashley,
You left a comment on my blog a few days ago and I wanted to thank you for your interest. I also wanted to thank you for leading me to the Faithful Bloggers directory. I clicked through to your blog from your comment, saw the Faithful Bloggers logo, followed my curiosity and clicked through to their site. It’s amazing the connections we can make as Christian women blogging on the internet. Thanks again for being the link that lead me here!

I love your blog! I see we have something in common with belonging to Faith Writers. Great to meet you! Do you allow guest bloggers or have people write stuff for you? I have two new books I am promoting. May I please display them on your site somewhere? Please feel free to check my site out. It is rather empty right now as I am going through a rebirth and when I am done with promoting the books I plan to decorate the walls with those who helped on the way.

    God bless!

Thank you! No, I do not have a Flickr account…I just got a smart phone two weeks ago and that’s more than enough difficulty for me to use, lol! I stay behind the times.
