Jesus had a wife.
At least, this is what a fragment of papyrus paper is suggesting we believe. The New York Times shared online yesterday that a piece of old papyrus, a little smaller than a business card, has some wording that might suggest that Jesus was married.
Trailblazing historian Karen L. King is already buffering the potential outcries, as she has “cautioned that this fragment should not be taken as proof that Jesus, the historical person, was actually married.”
