Using Pain as a Platform for Evangelism

Do-do-do, Devotional Monday, yeah yeah yeah!

Yesterday morning, a friend of mine was called home after a battle with cancer. I knew him to be a person who embraced optimism and enjoyed life’s journey.

It’s painful. He was 25 years old and I hadn’t spoken with him in almost a year.

I’m getting poked and prodded with the feeling of pain in various ways, so today’s devotional (brought to us from OurDailyBread.com) is perfectly timed.

Please enjoy “Bad News and Good News” by Marvin Williams and call a loved one today.

This so true! The first verse of one of my favorite praise songs says it best…

    Tears rolling down your face
And your heart feelin’ like it’s gon’ break
And your earth feels like it’s ’bout to shake
And you’ve taken all that you can take
Just remember where your help comes from
Realizing you got somewhere to run
Don’t worry ’bout what you’re going through
Instead of worrying, here’s what you can do
    Praise him anyway
In the middle of it (repeat3x)
    You should praise him anyway
In the middle of it (repeat 3x)
