Devotional Monday! Devotional Monday!! LOL…
So, during this time of stillness, I’m trying to invest myself further into my studies. I don’t feel too confident in creating devotionals, but I found this awesome website as a starting point for topics. (Check it out!) So, today, I’m sharing one on blindness. I will pray this week about what I am supposed to share with you all (of my own writing) next week.
About when we lose sight…
2 Corinthians 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. (NIV)
One of Satan’s greatest weapons is blindness. Satan will try to take away your vision of God, take away your ability to see God, take away your ability to believe in Him, and even take away your ability to imagine God is real. When Satan cannot totally blind you to God’s reality, Satan will blur your vision and make anything connected to God seem fuzzy and blurred.
When your perceptions of right and wrong are blurred, wrong behavior occurs. When your ability to see where God wants you to go is blurred, limited, or non-existent, you easily head off in wrong directions. Your vision of what God wants you to do, where He wants you to go, and who He wants you to be, is critical to your being His humble child. In your daily life, you must guard against being blinded by Satan.
You must guard against Satan bringing temptations before you. You must be able to withstand temptations by being able to constantly and consistently live only for Christ. To maintain your spiritual sight, you must be able to shun or push aside the influences of the satanic world.
