    I found this story just sad. If there was an “extreme” issue, maybe. As a parent I understand the “fear” that your child will be picked on…or as we now know it to be known “bullied”. I sensed this was more about the Mother’s emotional feelings than the child’s. Parents must raise a child in the way they should go. Having said that, I ask “now that her ears have be “fixed” what about the freckles, or her hair, or voice, or whatever a bully chooses to target?” This little girl, as all of us are, is made in the image of God….perfectly made.
    What I believes hinders us as Christians is we hear from humans more than we hear from God. We are worried about what people think of us and spend our lives trying to please people and minimum time trying to live a life that pleases God. What God has for you is for you. Embrace what God gives you.
